Those of us here in Hollister can hear it coming. It’s begun. The annual trek of tens of thousands of people to the famous motorcycle rally in Hollister, named the Hollister Independence Rally most years, is showing its colors and vibrations. San Benito Street, the center of the rally, is marked with street closure notices and no parking signs to make way for incoming vendors, spectators and thousands of motorcycles.
This year’s Hollister Independence Rally is being held on Friday, June 30th through Sunday, July 2nd, 2017 in downtown Hollister, California.

The roar of motorcycles annuals takes over the streets for the Hollister Independence Rally. Known as the “Birthplace of the American Biker” the Hollister Independence Rally is the largest motorcycle rally in California and one of the top ten in the United States. Bikers from all over the nation, along with international visitors, enjoy the top parts, accessories and apparel vendors — and of course major motorcycle manufacturers from across the country will be displaying, demonstrating and selling their latest and greatest products and wares.

Celebrity appearance by Eric Estrada
This year’s biker rally in Hollister will feature a guest appearance by CHIPs start Eric Estrada. Film and TV personality Erik Estrada will appear at The Vault and various venues during the rally. “Bands, beer and motorcycle shows, plus Erik Estrada at the 2017 Independence Rally,” says the local news story about this year’s biker rally.
Roadshows, Inc, the rally promoter, has been widely publishing in motorcycle magazines that the headliner will be Erik Estrada, who is best known for playing California Highway Patrol officer Frank Poncherello on the television series “CHiPS,” (aired 1977-1983).
Police presence at 2017 Hollister Motorcycle Rally

They will be interacting with people. We hire good people who want to be here.
